Whether you need your derailleurs adjusted, a broken spoke replaced or a complete overhaul that makes your bicycle run and looking even better than new with a service, we’re bike repair and servicing experts with the experience, knowledge and factory training to do the job right the first time, every time.
As well as repairs and servicing we also specialise in custom builds and wheel building, and we are always here for advice.
There are no fixed costs as each repair requires different length of time to fit, our hourly rate is £40
REPAIRS
Our well-equipped workshop is the place where great things happen. New bikes are brought into the world, feeble bikes made strong once more and miracles worked with all sorts of previously unfixable disasters!
We can work on any bicycle regardless of age, type or origin. We’ve worked on tandems, handcycles and unicycles; downhill bikes that have everything but the engine attached; top class road and XC race bikes that went on to carry the owners to the top of their class. Nothing makes us happier than seeing a bike we’ve brought back from the dead in regular use on the roads or trails.
The workshop is a hive of activity and we operate a booking system to make sure that repairs are turned around swiftly. At busy periods we can get booked up several weeks in advance so please leave plenty of time to get your bike ready for its holiday, race or special trip in order to avoid disappointment.
When you drop your bike off for repair, one of the workshop staff will check it over and give an immediate assessment of the parts required and probable cost. We will then keep you informed of progress as the job goes along with regular phone calls where necessary and are happy to advise on the most economical solution to any problems we may encounter.
SERVICING
Just like most things, your trusty steed needs a look over every once in a while. Our highly experienced staff are the perfect people to do just that. We offer a number of options for level of servicing, which we will run through when you bring your bike in or ring us so we can find the ideal level of care for you.
CUSTOM BUILDS
Looking for something a little bit special? Or maybe you have a bike to use as parts to build onto a new frame?
We offer a custom build service so can happily build up your dream bike for you. We can get frames from most manufacturers, forks and shocks from Fox, Rock Shox etc, and pretty much any other parts you need to get the bike built exactly as you want it.

WHEEL BUILDING
Thanks to our in-house, custom wheel building facility, Ewood Bikes’s wheel builders are able to hand build wheels of unrivalled quality. Undivided attention, care and a wealth of experience make our top-grade components into lasting wheelsets.
